Joe's Proxy Statement

Five years ago, Sealaska was in a very tough place. This financial turnaround has been nothing short of incredible. 2017 is only the second year in over twenty years that income from the operating companies covered all of the corporate overhead.

Sealaska's long-term success is going to depend on its ability to stay rooted in our Native values. The world is looking for more value-driven companies that take the long view.

As the youngest director, I have an obligation to encourage new shareholders to engage with Sealaska. We can always use well-trained young people who can add value.

I have had the privilege of serving as the board chair since 2014. The change on the board since then has been significant. Over the last four years, three new directors have joined the team, including two independent directors.

Over these same years, the change to the bottom line has also been significant. I am confident that more shareholders will feel this transformation in 2018 and 2019 as we start to grow with our new seafood companies and find ways to bring more value directly to shareholders.

If re-elected I will to continue to serve with an enormous amount of humility and gratitude. I appreciate your support.
