Charles Skultka Jr.

Independent candidate Charles Skultka Jr.

My name is Charles Skultka, Jr. I am running as an independent candidate for the Sealaska Board of Directors. I am a lifelong Alaskan fisherman, educator, herring and water protector, and culture bearer. I am a strong advocate for formal and cultural education, and for sustaining our natural resources. When elected as director, I will advocate for sustaining our fisheries, protecting our natural resources and preserving our culture. I support the election reforms that Sealaska has incorporated but believe more can be done. I would support term limits, ending discretionary voting and advocate for more transparency. I believe the work for landless recognition and rights needs to continue.

We need to continue our work to get our fishing rights and land back. I believe my work and cultural knowledge will be an asset on the board as I have an ability to lead, advocate, support and be a team player. Please vote directed for Charles Skultka, Jr., independent candidate for the Sealaska Board of Directors.
