Sealaska is dedicated to connecting our young shareholders to opportunities that better their future endeavors. Sealaska’s programs focus on career development, helping shareholders and shareholder descendants achieve higher education through scholarships, build professional experience through internships and make valuable connections as Sealaska’s Board Youth Advisor. Above all, Sealaska respects and values young voices throughout its businesses and community.

Sealaska offers financial support for students who want to go to college or vocational schools. Our communities and businesses need leaders trained with the necessary education, skills and experience. Scholarships are just one way to help our people pursue new opportunities.

Important Dates & Deadlines:
December 15 – Application becomes available
February 1 – Early Bird incentive deadline*
March 1 – Scholarship application and transcript deadline
May 1 – Scholarship recipients selected
*contingent upon meeting criteria and receiving a scholarship offer

Join a team of experts and make a difference at Sealaska. Internships span Sealaska and its businesses, offering shareholders and their descendants on-the-job training and professional experience from natural resource stewardship to construction management, accounting to environmental technician work, and much more.

Applications are due February 15, 2019, all materials must be received by 5 p.m. AKST, incomplete applications will not be considered.

SEALASKA BOARD YOUTH ADVISOR

Nicole George, 2017-2018 Board Youth Advisor, serves elders during a Sealaska community meeting in Haines, Alaska.

The Sealaska board youth advisor position sits on the board of directors for a one-year term, beginning and ending at the Sealaska Annual Meeting. She or he works alongside board members, attends board meetings and gives input while positively advocating for her or his generation. The chosen individual is between the ages of 18 to 25, holds at least one share of Sealaska stock and has two years of college, comparable work or military experience. She or he will need to travel to Juneau, Alaska when needed.

Sealaska and Tlingit & Haida Strengthen Regional Collaboration

Sealaska Announces Fall 2024 Distribution of $11.1 million

Sealaska is announcing a Fall 2024 distribution totaling $11.1 million to be issued to shareholders on Thursday, November 14.
