Join Sealaska Online for Our Annual Meeting of Shareholders
Tuesday, June 22, 2021

Sealaska’s annual meeting of shareholders will be held online on Saturday, June 26, 2021. In addition to the annual business presentation, updates on key initiatives and election results this year’s meeting will include the unveiling of Sealaska’s newly updated brand and logo mark.

Directors and management will share updates about Sealaska activity, successes and key investments. They will also answer questions from shareholders about Sealaska’s business and initiatives. Questions can be submitted via a survey available here.

The Independent Inspector of Elections will report on the results of the election of five directors, as well as the shareholder vote on three resolutions.

Sealaska President and CEO Anthony Mallott said Sealaska was incredibly fortunate to be able to provide more dividends, more programs and more of the positive results shareholders care about in 2020, despite operating in a pandemic year.

“Shareholder benefits increased by more than 20 percent over 2019 and are triple what they were in 2014,” Mallott said. “We are able to make significant investments in shareholder programs, like scholarships, the Deishú Memorial Fund, language preservation and more, because our emphasis on ocean-health businesses and alignment with our heritage is an incredibly powerful formula. We are focused on things that matter to us and to our greater global community: clean oceans and a sustainable, nutritious food supply. We are striving to live cultural values that emphasize balance, respect, curiosity and problem solving.”

The online-only approach to the annual meeting allows shareholders to participate from anywhere they have internet access and are logged in to their MySealaska.com account.

The event will start at 12:30 p.m. AKDT with footage of Celebration from previous years. These first 30 minutes will be a good time for shareholders to connect in the meeting chat, sharing greetings with friends and relatives. The 2021 annual meeting will officially begin at 1 p.m. AKDT.
