Sealaska Announces Spring 2022 Distribution Schedule
Friday, March 25, 2022

Sealaska’s deep connection to Southeast Alaska and to Indigenous wisdom informs its choices as a business to strive for balance and well-being in its operations and on behalf of its shareholders. Sealaska’s focus on ocean health businesses has led to another successful year.

The Sealaska board of directors is scheduled to meet Friday, April 8, and will approve the spring distribution amount. An announcement of the distribution date and amount will be published Friday afternoon on MySealaska.com, the Sealaska eNews and on the Sealaska Facebook page

Prepare to Receive a Distribution Payment Using MySealaska.com
There are two ways to receive a Sealaska distribution payment:

  1. Via direct deposit (sign up for direct deposit here
  2. Via mailed check

The fastest and most efficient way to receive a distribution is by direct deposit. Not only does it save money in printing and postage, but also ensures your paper check is not delayed or lost in the mail.

The MySealaska.com shareholder portal also allows you to update your mailing address. Addresses must be updated by Monday, April 18 to ensure your check is sent to the correct address.

Shareholders are encouraged to complete or update any enrollment or stock transfer paperwork – including for descendant or leftout stock – by 4 p.m. AKDT on Friday, April 8 to ensure any changes are received in time for the distribution. All descendant or leftout stock must be submitted and approved by this deadline to qualify for the 2021 spring distribution.

Q: How much is my check?
This is one of the most asked questions during a distribution announcement. Sealaska has upgraded MySealaska.com to calculate pending distributions. MySealaska.com users can view their pending distribution amount on their profile in the portal. This is especially useful for shareholders who have inherited or been gifted shares over the years. The “Pending Distribution” feature on MySealaska.com will be visible on Friday, April 8.

Shareholders with Bad Addresses
If you are expecting a paper check and Sealaska does not have your current address, your check will not be printed or mailed and will be delayed by up to two weeks. Please update your information on MySealaska.com as soon as possible to avoid any delays. Sealaska has lost contact with hundreds of shareholders. As a result, distributions and other mail might not make it to the recipient.

If you or a member of your family are on this list, please do one of the following:

  1. Update your contact information by logging in to MySealaska.com
  2. Download the change of address form and return to Sealaska via fax or in person

Questions?

Contact Sealaska’s Shareholder Relations team about your distribution or another important issue by using the new ‘Message’ feature on MySealaska.com. These messages go directly to the Shareholder Relations team and are the fastest way to receive a response.
