Sealaska Board of Directors Holds First 2025 Meeting in Ketchikan
Friday, February 7, 2025

KETCHIKAN, Alaska—The Sealaska Board of Directors is holding its first meeting of 2025 in Ketchikan this week, reinforcing its commitment to deepening connections with communities and partner organizations as we work together to create balance for people and the planet.

Strong partnerships with local organizations across our shareholders’ communities remain central to Sealaska’s mission. While in Ketchikan, Sealaska is hosting a Sealaska Business & Shareholder Information Fair, bringing together local leadership with representatives from Sealaska, Spruce Root, Sealaska Heritage Institute and Haa Aaní under the One Sealaska framework. Additionally, we are meeting with the Ketchikan Indian Community to collaborate on key issues impacting their members and our shareholders.

This board meeting in Ketchikan reflects our ongoing efforts to enhance and diversify shareholder engagement opportunities. In 2025, we are shifting our approach—hosting board meetings in tandem with community gatherings to foster deeper connections with shareholders where they live. As part of this initiative, we invite shareholders to join us for a community meeting tomorrow, Saturday, February 8 at 11:00 a.m. Alaska Time at Saxman Community Center, 2841 S Tongass HW, Saxman, AK.

We hear our shareholders loud and clear—you want to stay informed about our business, programs and board. In response, we are evolving how we communicate, increasing the frequency of our newsletters, expanding virtual engagement opportunities and more. We look forward to these changes and to building even stronger connections with each of you in the year ahead.
