The film by 'Waats'asdiyei Joe Yates explores the story and impacts of statehood, blood quantum, ANCSA and boarding schools on Alaska’s Indigenous people. 'Waats'asdiyei showcases powerful stories, bringing new voices to this important conversation. He hopes to reframe these issues through an Indigenous lens, supporting the resilience that has defined our Alaska Native people for the 10,000 years.
