Shareholder Development - Intern - Learning & Development Fellow (NESI)

Job Title: Title: NESI Learning & Development Fellow – Learning & Development Research and Projects

Location: New England Seafood International, UK (Chessington)
Role Summary:
As an organization that puts our people at the heart of what we do, New England Seafood is working towards the implementation of a people development framework. This framework will equip fellows at all levels and roles in the business to perform effectively and develop individual career aspirations.
The Learning & Development Research and Projects fellow will:

• Support with analyzing the outputs of NESI’s personal development planning process
• Utilize this data to propose relevant learning interventions which meet business needs
• Conduct a Training Needs Analysis to identify learning objectives for suggested development activity
• Design a short development program
• Deliver this development program to NESI internally with support from the wider Learning & Development team
• Conduct a post-program evaluation and identify areas for improvement

Learning Outcomes

• Gain hands-on experience in a real-world Learning & Development environment
• Develop skills in training needs analysis, content development, content design and workshop facilitation & delivery
• Gain knowledge of the Learning Cycle and how this translates into Learning & Development processes and best practices
• Contribute to meaningful projects that impact the employee experience, through the channel of professional development
• Receive mentoring and guidance from experienced L&D professionals

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Able to both collaborate with a team and perform duties independently
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong presentation skills
• Must be a Sealaska shareholder, descendant of a shareholder, or spouse of a shareholder
• Ability and willingness to travel internationally
• Commit to 8-week program timeline (2 weeks in Alaska, 6 weeks in the UK)
• Must have a valid passport
• Legally authorized to work in the United States

Education and Experience:

• Must be aged 18 at time of hire
• Must be currently enrolled in post-secondary school/program or a recent graduate (1-2 years)

Preferred Skills:

• At least a 2.5 GPA
• Strong critical thinking and research skills
• Self-starter with ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment

Fellowship Environment:

• While performing the duties of this role, the fellow will primarily be in an office setting. The noise level in the fellowship environment is usually minimal.
