Job Title: Title: Geotechnical Engineer Fellow
Location: Ireland, Causeway Geotech Limited
Role Summary:
As the Geotechnical Engineer Fellow, there will be opportunities for mentorship from experienced engineers and geologists. You will visit ground investigation projects of varying scale across Ireland, gaining hands-on experience both in the field and in the office.
This role offers a blend of site-based and office-based learning, comprehensive training, and the chance to participate in some of the largest infrastructure ground investigation contracts on the island of Ireland.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Engage with a strong team of Geotechnical Engineers/Engineering Geologists in an office and/or site-based environment as Ground Investigation data and reports are produced
• Opportunity to observe large infrastructure ground investigation contracts
• Observe and participate in the preparation of Factual Ground Investigation Reports
• Learn about the following:
◦ Contract management
◦ Health and safety standards
◦ Quality control in accordance with the relevant industry standards
◦ Budget management
◦ Technical reporting writing
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Able to both collaborate with a team and perform duties independently
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must be a Sealaska shareholder, descendant of a shareholder, or spouse of a shareholder
• Ability and willingness to travel internationally
• Commit to 8-week program timeline (2 weeks in Alaska, 6 weeks in Ireland)
• Must have a valid passport
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
Education and Experience:
• Must be age 18 at time of hire
• Must be currently enrolled in post-secondary school/program or a recent graduate (1-2 years)
Preferred Skills:
• At least a 2.5 GPA
• Strong critical thinking and research skills
• Self-starter with ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment

PhysicalDemands:
• Must be able to perform computer-based tasks and processing for up to 8 hours, including sitting or standing, mousing, interacting with information on a computer monitor.
• Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move 25 pounds regularly.
• Bending or standing as necessary.
Fellowship Environment:
• While performing the duties of this role, the fellow will primarily spend time in an office setting. The noise level in the fellowship environment is usually minimal.
• Occasional travel to construction sites
